So earlier in the year I was all set to do this scene properly in the ST 365 but then I couldn’t quite nail it and after two attempts I just dropped it because when you’re doing the daily grind you can’t get too bogged down. Cleaning up my office I found this scrap of […]
Personally, for me, the comedy surrounding the Horga’hn and Riker pranking Picard is pretty much the funniest thing (non-Worf related) in Star Trek TNG. I’m very happy to have secured myself a Horga’hn though I do not leave it outside of my office for obvious reasons.
I warned you that these weren’t going to conform to any set rules so if I want cranky TMP Leonard McCoy then I’m including him. I am now locked in to the collection having just ordered the first three batches of Trek Scribble ABC cards. So I’ll be opening up pre-orders in the next couple […]
How could I honestly draw Riker without his foot on something? Would you even recognise him?!?
So this is the first time I’ve managed to capture a scene whilst watching the episode without stopping it and checking reference stuff etc. So I was live watching Future Imperfect last night, thinking about what to draw next and I liked everyone’s older look (hate the combadges) and so I just started drawing there […]
For all the film’s flaws, I do love the end of Star Trek Generations and I think it was nice to have a quiet moment between Riker and Picard. Something that is missing from the later instalments. Although I think my Mother has ruined this scene for me as she once commented that the chair […]
The request was to include Guinan and Wesley in addition to the main cast which presented a challenge in space and positioning. I fit Wesley in by getting him to crouch down and then I realised I had no more room. So then I moved them all down to Ten Forward so I could fit […]
This isn’t going to be a thing. But this card was all but screaming to be done in light of yesterday’s image. I may also have another idea for another card… maybe two… This isn’t going to be a thing. I didn’t try to link in a backstory with the card because I think the […]
I’m not even going to get into the whole “how bad a last episode” this was because it’s a very sad day in the Sargent household as my trusty V600 Epson scanner has died. It’s an expensive scanner that at the time was considered to be the absolute best for watercolour sketches, five years later […]
This is a special piece for my friend over on Star Trek Minus Context who is a massive supporter of the Star Trek 365 project and an inspiration. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t see one of this amazingly out of context captions that makes me smile. This piece was […]
